SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING HYDRAULIC POWER UNITS OF JACKING SYSTEM FOR CRANE OPERATION IN SELF-ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM

Discloses a Self-Elevating Work Platform (SEWOP) in which the hydraulic power unit of jacking system is used to power the hydraulic system of cranes. The power unit of the jack system has a manifold from where hydraulic power is given to the valve block of the hydraulic system of cranes. The High pressure (HP) hydraulic pipeline is routed to the crane through a heavy duty rotary hose or a hose reel which enables the HP hydraulic oil supply to the hydraulic system of the crane irrespective of the crane rotation. The hydraulic power units available for the jack system for each of the legs are linked to each other to provide back up for the crane operation. Thus even if one hydraulic power unit is under maintenance, the other hydraulic power unit can be used to support the crane operation.
