The invention concerns a method for implementing a security association for a terminal (UE) being attached to an access network (ACC_NET), comprising the following steps, carried out by an authentication server (AAA) of the access network, after receiving (211) a request coming from the terminal for attachment to the network: receiving (216, 218') a first message containing at least one security association parameter (B-TID, Tks) from a bootstrapping server function (BSF); authenticating (217, 219') the terminal by means of at least one first authentication parameter (RAND, AUTN, XRES) provided by a home subscriber server (HSS) of said terminal; and sending (218, 220') a security association message containing the at least one security association parameter to the authenticated terminal.
