METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING AN OPTIMISED NETWORK FOR RESERVOIR SIMULATION IN A SUBTERRANEAN FORMATION

At a time T of the reservoir simulation, we estimate a size function characterizing the initial mesh representative of the subterranean formation studied. Then, using a reservoir simulator and the initial mesh, the flow of the fluids within the formation is simulated at this instant T. An optimized size function is then calculated using the size function estimated on the initial mesh and at least one parameter deduced from the reservoir simulation. And finally, we build an optimized mesh by modifying the initial mesh according to the function of optimized size.- Application in particular to the exploration and exploitation of oil deposits.
