A method of changing a user interface to be a dedicated Skype™ interface is disclosed. The method is applied to a handheld electronic device (1) which has a screen (20), and a plurality of application programs are installed in the handheld electronic device (1). A built-in user interface (UI1) is displayed by the screen (20). A plurality of icons corresponding to the application programs are displayed on the screen (20) via the built-in user interface (UI1). The method includes the following steps: receiving a setting change command, and changing the built-in user interface (UI1) to be a dedicated Skype™ interface (UI2).
