The invention relates to a device (10) for flow cytometry, which has a chamber (12), a channel (14) and a magnetic sensor (18). The channel (14) and the chamber (12) are present in a closed system, an axis (A) of the channel (14) extending along a flow direction (P) of the channel (14). A magnet (22) and a deflection means (20) are arranged on a predefined side of the channel (14). The deflection means (20) is divided into at least one segment (20-1, 20-2, 20-3) and each segment (20-1, 20-2, 20-3) is arranged in a concentration region (C1, C2, C3) of the channel (14). The deflection means (20) has guide elements (24) as means for guiding cells towards the axis (A). The invention further relates to a method for flow cytometry with the aid of such a device (10). Cells from complex samples can be fully or partially marked for this purpose.
