The present invention relates to a novel CHO cell line which is transformed to simultaneously overexpress Bcl-2, which is an anti-apoptotic gene, and Bclin-1, which is an autophagy pathway gene, and is deficient in a dihydrofolate reducatase (dhfr) gene, and to a method for producing the same. The transgenic CHO cell line of the present invention can inhibit cell death more effectively due to an autophagy induction effect resulting from the overexpression of Beclin-1, which is an autophagy pathway gene, as well as an apoptosis inhibitory effect resulting from the overexpression of Bcl-2, which is an anti-apoptotic protein. It was confirmed that the induced autophagy pathway can inhibit cell death, inhibit cell death more effectively when compared with the overexpression of only Bcl-2, which is the conventional method for inhibiting cell death, and inhibit cell death induced by stress from the external environment, and thus the novel CHO cell line can be useful in the production of therapeutic proteins.
