The present invention relates to a Tussilago farfara L. plant extract, which is a new TRAIL sensitizer and can enhance an anti-cancer effect of the TRAIL by increasing apoptotic susceptibility of TRAIL. A composition including the Tussilago farfara L. plant extract and the TRAIL induces apoptosis of river cancer cells resistant to the TRAIL and is not cytotoxic. Therefore, the composition can be advantageously used as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer and can be advantageously used for health promotional food.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
