KOREAN AUGMENTATIVE AND ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM HAVING COMMUNICATION SCAFFOLDING

The present invention relates to an augmentative and alternative communication system, which processes the predicate expression type linked in response to a selection of a category expression type and having a connection with the subject expression type. The augmentative and alternative communication system includes a category unit which includes at least two category expression types, and processes a function for a category hierarchy more than at least one step; a fixed key unit which performs at least one preset fixing function; and a word connection unit which is linked in response to the selection of a category expression type and processes a function related to the subject and the predicate, wherein the subject includes at least two subject expression types, and the predicate includes at least two predicate expression types. Therefore, people of different ages with a variety of disability areas (e.g., physical disability and cognitive impairment) may use the augmentative and alternative communication system. In particular, the people may differentially utilize the augmentative and alternative communication system depending on a disability level or learning progress since the augmentative and alternative communication system constructs lower lexical categories according to upper lexical categories.
