The present invention relates to a method for automatically tracking the position of lung tumor through non-rigid registration between 4D computerized tomography (CT) images with different respiration among 4D CT images for a radiation treatment plan. According to the present invention, a system for tracking position of lung tumor from 4d ct images includes: a conversion vector prediction unit which divides lung from each 4D CT phase image, performs affine registration using boundary information of the liver and the lung between the maximum inspiratory phase image and the maximum expiratory phase image, and calculates affine conversion vectors according to an amount of respiration; and a lung tumor position tracking unit which automatically tracks the position of lung tumor with the affine conversion vectors calculated by the conversion vector prediction unit and deformation vectors calculated by the non-rigid registration between the phase images.
