METHOD FOR PENETRATING SUCTION PILE AT SHALLOW WATER DEPTH

The present invention relates to a penetration method of a suction pile at the shallow depth of water, which is applied when the water depth in a sea area, where the suction pile is installed, is lower than the height of the suction pile. The penetration method of a suction pile at the shallow depth of water comprises the steps of (a) placing the suction pile on a seabed and making the lower end of the suction pile penetrate into the seabed by using the self-load of the suction pile; (b) coupling a water tank to the upper part of the suction pile, when the upper part of the suction pile is exposed above sea level after step (a), and making the upper part of the suction pile penetrate into the seabed until the upper part of the suction pile sinks under sea level by supplying water into the water tank; and (c) removing the water tank from the upper part of the suction pile and applying suction pressure to the inside of the suction pile in order to make the suction pile fully penetrate into the seabed ground.
