An embodiment of the present invention relates to a quantum key distribution (QKD) system and a QKD method and, more specifically, to a method for processing a double click event which may occur in the detection of a quantum signal to ensure the security of a QKD system, and the QKD system using the same. According to one aspect of the embodiment, the security of the QKD system can be ensured by detecting an attack action of an attacker without the use of a TRNG and reflecting the number of double click events in the length of a final key.
