The present invention provides a method for controlling a plurality of power converters 1a, 1b and 1c that can be used in connection with a supply network, an AC bus bar, and the like. Each power converter operates in accordance with a pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme having the same switching period and includes a network bridge that causes at least one undesired harmonic in the supply network voltage. The method includes supplying a switching period of a pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme at each network bridge at a different time offset relative to a time reference so that at least one unwanted harmonic at the supply network voltage can be at least partially canceled .
