The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition or a pharmaceutical composition comprising (1) an indol compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and (2) panthenol as active ingredients and, more specifically, to a composition which is effective in preventing and/or alleviating skin damage caused by UV according to a synergy effect of (1) the indol compound or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and (2) panthenol.
