The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing cancer including extracts of polygoni multiflori radix as an active ingredient. Specifically, in the present invention, provided is a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing cancers, which inhibits the growth of cancer cells by facilitating the aging of the cancer cell. The pharmaceutical composition can facilitate the aging of the cancer cell and thus is used for treating diseases like uterine cervical cancer, chondrosarcoma, fibrosarcoma and colorectal cancer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
