The present invention relates to a method for evaluating the reliability of a power system by using a reliability model of demand response comprising modeling demand resources which participate in the demand response of the power system with state solubilization capacity, state probability, a state transition rate, and a state failure rate. The present invention checks the reliability of the power system applying the modeled demand resources; and checks the state probability, the state transition rate, and the state failure rate of the demand resources with a state transition matrix according to an increase/decrease generation rate of the demand resources. The present invention can use the reliable demand resources as operation reserve resources.
