The present invention relates to a circuit for generating a reference signal for controlling a peak current of a converter switch, an insulated converter, and a method of generating a reference signal for controlling a peak current of a converter switch. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the circuit for generating a reference signal for controlling a peak current of a converter switch comprises: a squaring unit which squares an input voltage signal divided from a primary supply voltage of the insulated converter; a duty ratio calculating unit which calculates an energy delivery duty ratio toward a secondary side; and a calculating unit which uses the energy delivery duty ratio calculated in the duty ratio calculating unit to generate and output a reference signal for controlling a peak current of the converter switch from the squared signal obtained by squaring the input voltage signal. Also, the insulated converter as well as the method for generating a reference signal for controlling a peak current of a converter switch are proposed.
