The present invention provides a data transmission device and a method for transmitting data in a wireless network. The method for transmitting data in a wireless network environment is performed by the data transmission device and includes: a step of determining the status of traffic saturation based on an access category (AC), a queue size, and a preset threshold value, wherein the access category is determined by classifying data in accordance with an application to transmit the data; and a step of determining a transmission scheme based on the determined status of traffic saturation and on the access category of the data.
