The present invention relates to a uniflow type large low-speed turbocharged two-stroke internal combustion engine with a crosshead (43). This combustion engine has a number of cylinders (1), and a main fuel supply system (24) operated with a first type fuel is provided, whereas the main fuel supply system comprises an auxiliary fuel tank (30) for a second type fuel; and an auxiliary fuel valve (8) to transfer the second type fuel to a combustion chamber in the cylinder (1). This combustion engine also has an auxiliary fuel supply system (34) operated with a second type fuel different from the first type fuel, and the auxiliary fuel supply system has the auxiliary fuel tank (30) for the second type fuel; and the auxiliary fuel valve (8) to transfer the second type fuel to a combustion chamber in the cylinder (1). This combustion engine also has an electronic control unit (ECU, CCU) configured so as to control and operate the main fuel system (24) and the auxiliary fuel system (34). The electronic control unit (ECU, CCU) is configured so as to operate a selected number of cylinders out of a number of cylinders (1) through the auxiliary fuel system (34) with the second type fuel, additionally the electronic control unit (ECU, CCU) is configured so as to operate remaining cylinders out of a number of cylinders (1) through the auxiliary fuel system (24) with the first type fuel.
