The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for automatic working of ends of a reinforcement member, which automatically generates a cut shape for ends of a reinforcement member, the apparatus comprising: a shape code generation unit which analyzes a generic file including profile member information provided for production of a vessel model to extract member property information, defines a shape code which represents shapes for both ends of the reinforcement member, and maps the member property information to the defined shape code to register the mapped member property information as hull member information; a shape generation unit which, when the shape code for automatic cutting of both ends of the reinforcement member is inputted, extracts the member property information corresponding to the shape code from the shape code generation unit, and combines the extracted member property information and a user-defined argument to generate and output shape information for both ends of the reinforcement member; and a cutting device which automatically cuts both ends of the reinforcement member based on the shape information generated by the shape generation unit.
