The invention relates to a device that prevents reverse flow resulted from reverse rotation of a canned motor and also resolves possible problems associated with noise and life cycle in an enclosed underwater environment and helps avoid increase in differential pressure in a passage, and a reactor coolant pump having the same. The device for preventing reverse rotation of canned motor type pump according to the invention comprises an impeller (112) that generates thrust through rotation; an operation member (11) transported on the line of an axis; a case member (12) where one side of the said operation member (110) is inserted one side to guide transportation and rotate the whole operation member (110); an elastic member (13) inserted inside the said case member (12) to support the said operation member; and a stop member (140) formed on the axis of the said operation member (11) to engage with the said operation member (11) and stop reverse rotation.
