Disclosed technology relates to a DC power supply device having a backup battery for DC power distribution. The DC power supply device includes: an AC/DC conversion unit which outputs direct current from AC power; an alternating current input blocking unit which controls input of AC power into the AC/DC conversion unit; the backup battery which is charged by using the direct current, is charged and discharged according to a predetermined schedule or power use limit signals from an external source, and outputs direct current on behalf of the AC/DC conversion unit; and a charging/discharging control unit which is arranged between a direct current output terminal of the AC/DC conversion unit and the backup battery and controls charging and discharging of the backup battery according to the schedule.
