The present invention relates to a method for enhancing the safety of a power system based on a credible accident analysis. More specifically, the method can enhance the safety of the power system based on the credible accident analysis simulating potential accidents in the power system while considering the valid and invalid power control aspects of the power system at the same time. The present invention includes the steps of: (a) checking whether the respective credible accidents in the power system violate the flow path current or a bus voltage; (b) generate a first sensitivity matrix to eliminate the flow path current violation or a second sensitivity matrix to eliminate the bus voltage violation included in the credible accidents by using predetermined power system data according to the result of the checking operation; (c) generating a first object function by using the first sensitivity matrix to eliminate the flow path current violation or a second object function by using the second sensitivity matrix to eliminate the bus voltage violation for the respective credible accidents; and (d) determining a first control value by using the first object function to eliminate the flow path current violation or a second control value by using the second object function to eliminate the bus voltage violation for the respective credible accidents.
