BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE USING RADAR AND METHOD FOR WARNING FAULT THEREOF

A blind spot detection system for a vehicle using a radar and a method for warning fault thereof are provided. The blind spot detection system can display whether a fault has occurred to a driver. The blind spot detection system of the present invention comprises: two radar ECUs that receive target information from the corresponding radar from among two radars placed at both ends on the rear of a vehicle, process in a previously set method, detect whether a fault has occurred, perform a mutual communication through a private CAN, and mutually send the error information; a plurality of warning LEDs that display whether a fault has occurred to the driver under the control of the corresponding radar ECU from among the two radar ECUs; and a switch that responds to a control signal applied to one from among the two radar ECUs or to a vehicle ECU placed outside and is turned on/off to activate or inactivate the two radar ECUs, one ECU of the two radar ECUs sending error information through mutual error information exchange to a cluster ECU for controlling a cluster of the vehicle through the vehicle CAN and displaying the error to the driver.
