The present invention relates to a method for expressing a cow-derived lactoferrin gene by using chlamidomonas microalgae. More specifically, the method can be used to express recombinant lactoferrin proteins by inserting a lactoferrin gene optimized with codons appropriate for the chlamidomonas to pChala3 expression vectors to prepare recombinant lactoferrin expression vectors and transforming the expression vectors in the chlamidomonas. The present invention can increase the recombinant lactoferrin production by mass-culturing the chlorella including the recombinant lactoferrin expression systems, thereby being used as substitutes for the antibiotics for animals.
