The present invention relates to a method for treating POME including sludge and waste water by using solvent extraction, comprising the steps of: mixing the POME with an organic solvent so as to extract at least a part of the sludge by the solvent; separating the waste water and the organic solvent after the extraction; and primarily separating the organic solvent and the sludge.
