The present invention relates to a system and a method which detects a pilot contamination attack in a time division duplex (TDD) multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) environment. A method to detect pilot contamination attack according to the present invention comprises steps of: receiving a signal including an upward link training sequence, individually transmitted from a plurality of user terminals, from the plurality of user terminals in an upward link training process; extracting channel estimate information corresponding to at least one user terminal among the plural user terminals by using the received signal; and obtaining the upward link training sequence electricity received from the at least one user terminal based on the channel estimate information to apply a generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) technique.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
