The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for a device-to-device (D2D) communication. The method for the D2D communication according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: transmitting a discovery registration request message including the interest information and identification information of a discovery service to a base station; receiving a discovery registration response message including discovery resource information allocated according to the identification information of the discovery service from the bas station; and transmitting a discovery signal by using the allocated discovery resource. According to one embodiment of the present invention, QoS differentiated according to the service of an application which various users use is secured. A discovery process independent of data communication is performed. Interference is managed under the simultaneous connection with a cellular user.
