The present invention relates to a real time optical network monitoring system based on resource sharing, which monitors a real time optical network in an environment with a plurality of measurement modules which collect and store, in OTDR mode, information on reflected lights for a plurality of monitored unit groups. The system comprises a monitoring server which controls the measurement modules via communications therewith, and receives and uses the information on reflected lights stored by the measurement modules to monitor a plurality of monitored unit groups by an area of a plurality of measurement modules.
