The present invention relates to a precipitation estimation system based on dual polarization radar and a method thereof. The precipitation estimation system performs a fuzzy quality control about dual polarization radar data and uses dual polarization radar processed by the fuzzy quality control, ground observation data, lighting data, and weather numerical model data to perform hydrometeor classification and precipitation estimation.
