The present invention relates to a microorganism medicine for inhibiting generation of methane and enhancing fermentation within a rumen of a ruminant including yeast and reductive acetogenic bacteria, livestock feed including the microorganism medicine and a method for inhibiting the generation of the methane and enhancing the fermentation within the rumen by feeding the microorganism or the feed to the ruminant. The present invention inhibits the generation of the methane due to methanogens within the rumen of the ruminant and increases production yield of volatile fatty acid or the like by the reductive acetogenic bacteria, thereby having an effect of increasing feed efficiency of the ruminant.
