A BROADBAND ZERO-IF MODEM FOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The present invention provides a modem device appropriate for broadband satellite communications. According to the present invention, the modem device includes a modulator and a demodulator. The modem device also includes a 16-bit digital-analog converter unit which corrects the DC offset voltage mismatch of I and Q signals transmitted between a second digital VGA unit transmitting the signals to the demodulator and the modulator. The present invention employs a simple configuration in overall and is implemented at a low cost.
