摘要

The present invention relates to a method for producing high purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (MnSO_4H_2O) from a manganese-containing material. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: adding and calcining sulfuric acid (H_2SO_4) in a manganese-containing material to be converted into manganese sulfate; removing first impurities by adding calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)_2) in a manganese leach liquor obtained by dissolving the manganese sulfate in water; removing second impurities by adding sulfide in the manganese leach liquor having the first impurities removed therefrom; obtaining a manganese precipitate by precipitating manganese by using sodium hydroxide in the manganese leach liquor having the second impurities removed therefrom; and obtaining high purity manganese sulphate monohydrate by adding and re-dissolving the sulfuric acid in the manganese precipitate. Accordingly, high purity manganese sulphate monohydrate that can be used as an ingredient for a secondary battery can be produced from a manganese-containing material.
