Disclosed are a touch panel input apparatus and a touch panel input method for controlling operation of a computerized electronic apparatus using a touch panel as an input device. The touch panel input apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a communications connection unit which performs a connection between an electronic apparatus and local area wireless communications; a session setting unit which sets, as an input area for an electronic apparatus, a predetermined area around a center point touched on a panel with the pressure not less than a threshold value, and sets a session with the electronic apparatus; and an event processing unit which converts a touch event on an input area to an input event supported in an electronic apparatus and transmits the input event converted. According to the present invention, a user can set an arbitrary area as an input area of an electronic apparatus and gives a touch command to the input area to remotely control the electronic apparatus in a convenient manner.
