The present invention relates to a system enabling a communication function in a device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a communication method of a terminal includes the steps of: transmitting attach request messages including at least one of public safety indication or group communication indication to an MME; receiving attach accept messages including at least one among a prose identifier for a prosing, a prose group identifier, a prose group, a prose-related function of the terminal, and a proximity-related prose key; transmitting prose registration request messages to a prose function server; and receiving prose registration response messages after the authentication of the terminal from the prose function server. According to an embodiment of the present invention, under an environment such as EUTRAN or UTRAN/GERAN and so on, devices can provide or be provided with information to each other.
