The present invention relates to a self-elevated platform (SEP) barge having a gap forming member for facilitating pullout of a leg, and a method for pulling out the leg of an SEP barge using the gap forming member. The SEP barge includes: a gap forming member (1) which is lengthily extended, and has a strip shape having a width less than the cross section diameter of a leg (10) of the SEP barge, in order to surround the leg (10) in a shape of being hung on the bottom surface of the leg (10); and a winding device (2) which is coupled to the end of the gap forming member (1) in order to wind or unwind the gap forming member (1) for movement. More specifically, while maintaining the state where the gap forming member (1) winds the lower part of the leg (10), the lower part of the leg (10) descends to interpenetrate the underwater clay ground, and then the winding device (2) winds or unwinds the gap forming member (1) in order to move the gap forming member (1) so that the leg (10) can be easily pulled out from the underwater clay ground during pullout of the leg (10) from the underwater clay ground. Therefore, the SEP barge can remove negative pressure by forming a gap between the underwater clay ground and the outer surface of the leg (10).
