The present invention relates to a method for predicting an amount of energy used based on Gaussian process modeling. The method for predicting an amount of energy used based on Gaussian process modeling according to the present invention comprises: applying changes in external temperature and an amount of energy used for four hours which were measured based on weekdays and weekends respectively to the Gaussian process modeling; generating a model of the amount of energy used by a household, an apartment complex and time; and predicting the amount of energy used and the range of errors by using past values of temperature and predicted values of temperature.
