The present invention provides a method for producing silicone nanoparticles, which comprises the steps of: (step 1) generating a thermal plasma jet by supplying a thermal plasma jet generating gas; (step 2) supplying, smelting, and gasifying silicone powder to the thermal plasma jet generated in the step 1; and (step 3) cooling and collecting the silicone powder smelted and gasified in the step 2. According to the method for producing silicone nanoparticles of the present invention, by using a thermal plasma jet, heat is applied to silicone powder during a short period of time, and the silicone powder is cooled so that particles having the nanosize can be produced. Accordingly, the method according to the present invention has high energy efficiency and relatively short process time, and can easily control process conditions.
