The present invention relates to an electrochemical sensor and, more specifically, relates to an electrochemical sensor using a zinc oxide nanorod as a supporter, wherein gold cluster nanoparticles are immobilized to the zinc oxide nanorod wherein the gold cluster nanoparticles are protected by glutathione ligand. As such, the electrochemical sensor has improved biocompatibility and binding force between the gold cluster nanoparticles and the zinc oxide nanorod to increase a sensitivity of the sensor, and allows a quick detection of a final product; thereby allowing efficient quantitative measurement on enzyme activity.
