The present invention relates to a system and a method for managing showing of a digital movie, and an apparatus applied to the same and, more specifically, to a system and a method for managing showing of a digital movie, and an apparatus applied to the same, which integratedly manage a KDM issuing procedure for decoding digital movie related content in a plurality of theaters to efficiently support the showing of the digital movie related content in the theaters. The present invention integratedly manages the KDM issuing procedure for decoding a DCP, into which the digital movie related content provided by a plurality of distributor servers is encoded, in one KDM server to be capable of issuing a KDM within a range of a request for issuing the KDM from a theater server approved by the distributor server according to a showing period and the number of showings without approval of the distributor server; accordingly issues the KDM set with only time needed in showing the content within the showing period included in the request range to induce the theater server to receive the KDM at every showing and to show the content, thereby limiting the number of KDM issues within the number of showings to support monitoring and controlling of the number of showings; and at the same time, immediately realizes the KDM issuing procedure at every showing without approval of the distributor server to support free scheduling of wanted showing date and time in the theater server, so the present invention largely enhances convenience and efficiency of the theater server and the distributor server.
