Disclosed is a power transmission line detecting method capable of efficiently detecting the location of a power transmission line using an image. For this, the power transmission line detecting method using a line search based on a vanishing point includes the steps of: (a) estimating the vanishing point (Vi) on which the power transmission line are gathered by using the outermost power transmission line region in which the power transmission line is located; and (b) detecting the location of the power transmission line by applying the estimated vanishing point and a fan shape detecting method. The present invention accurately detects the location of the power transmission line in comparison with an existing detecting method using an edge and Hough transform and optimal threshold methods.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
