The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vegetable cultivation apparatus usable as a refrigerator wherein a refrigerator at home or a restaurant can be used, and the refrigerator can be used as a refrigerator if it is necessary to store food in a cooled state and the refrigerator can be converted to and used as a vegetable cultivation apparatus if a user desires to cultivate edible vegetables by germinating seeds of plants. For this purpose, the vegetable cultivation apparatus usable as a refrigerator of the present invention has a refrigerating cycle capable of circulating a refrigerant by means of a refrigerant compressor and capable of expanding and evaporating a refrigerant and thereby taking off heat, and comprises: a refrigerator having a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment capable of storing food by refrigerating and freezing food, and having a refrigerator door capable of being opened and closed; a water supply pipe with one end connected to a water supply equipment and with the other end discharging water to the refrigerating compartment; at least one spray nozzle provided in the water supply pipe to spray water prepared in and supplied from the water supply pipe; a drain hole formed on a bottom surface to discharge the sprayed water from the spray nozzle to outside of the refrigerator; and a control unit having switches for executing a refrigerator function and a vegetable cultivation apparatus function wherein the refrigerating compartment can be converted to a vegetable cultivation compartment which can be used as a refrigerating compartment, upon executing a refrigerator/vegetable cultivation apparatus conversion switch provided in the control unit.
