The present invention relates to a livestock supplementary feed containing a chitin and chitosan mixture as an active ingredient, and a method for producing the same. According to the present invention, chitin is produced by using crab shells. General components and contents of the produced chitin are analyzed, and a livestock supplementary feed containing the produced chitin is produced to be fed for Korean cattle. As a result of evaluating grades and meat quality of the Korean cattle, chitin and chitosan on which deproteinizing, decalciumizing, and deatylating processes are suitably performed are added in the livestock supplementary feed to be fed for livestock, so quality of meat is improved and values of livestock meat can be improved in terms of nutrition, function, and quality.
