The present invention relates to a composition which contains a Berberis amurensis concentrate as an active ingredient and is used to prevent, alleviate, and treat the erectile dysfunction disease. More specifically, the method for preparing the composition includes the steps of: extracting Berberis amurensis; filtering the Berberis amurensis extract; concentrating the Berberis amurensis extract; and drying the Berberis amurensis concentrate. The composition has an effect of alleviating the No / cGMP and K+ paths in the smooth muscle flap of the rabbit corpus cavernosum as well as an effect of increasing ICP, ICP/MAP, and AUC in the rat corpus cavernosum.
