The present invention relates to a metamaterial-1 mode antenna having enhanced bandwidth and efficiency. The antenna includes: a ground surface having a rectangular plate-like shape; a first patch surface and a second patch surface having the role of an antenna patch and are adjacent to each other while being in a rectangular form arranged to be parallel to the patch surface; and a first and second via units formed between the ground surface and the first and second patch surfaces to form a mushroom structure. The present invention theoretically calculates the distribution curve of a composite right left-handed (CRLH) transmission line to improve the bandwidth and efficiency. The present invention can theoretically analyze the metamaterial-1 mode antenna to enable a more compact antenna while enhancing the bandwidth and efficiency.
