The present invention relates to a semi-conductive compound for a high or ultra-high voltage power cable capable of preventing a surface protrusion from being generated and suppressing breakage of an insulation layer and a ultra-high voltage power cable using the same. The present invention provides a semi-conductive compound which contains a master batch including an ethylene-based copolymer and a nano carbon filler, polyethylene, and an additive and in which the ethylene-based copolymer and polyethylene are blended to form a polymer matrix; and a method for preparing the same.
