The present invention relates to a device and a method for detecting intrusion using ultrasonic wave, more particularly, to a device and a method for detecting the sensitivity of received ultrasonic wave by preparing a calibration mode which initializes a reference value to detect an intrusion due to a structural change of vehicle interior, and detects a intruder by using a variation of received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of ultrasonic signal not by using transmission and reception time and phase of ultrasonic wave.
