The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for suppressing cortisol overdose due to stress, and more particularly, to a composition comprising a budson extract or a fraction thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. According to the pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting cortisol secretion due to stress proposed in the present invention, cortisol excess secretion due to stress can be suppressed by containing brucchus extract or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient.
