The present invention relates to a method of detecting an advanced television system committee (ATSC) television (TV) signal. The method of detecting an ATSC TV signal composed of various symbols comprises: a band-pass filtering step passing only a signal within a predetermined frequency band in order to detect an ATSC TV signal spectrum from the received signals; a step of shifting the signal passed in the band-pass filtering step in a negative direction by an intermediate frequency (IF) to generate a signal having a complex value; a step of performing a square-root raised cosine filter (SRRC) filtering on the generated signal; a step of shifting a frequency of the result by a symbol speed of (R_s)/4 after the SRRT filtering step; and a step of detecting the ATSC TV signal spectrum from the frequency-shifted signal.
