The present invention relates to an apparatus for the tamper protection of an application code based on a self modification and a method thereof. The apparatus for the tamper protection of the application code according to the present invention includes an input unit which receives a code used in an application, a code separating unit which separates the inputted code into an important code and a general code including an important code calling part by analyzing the inputted code, an encoding unit which encodes the important code and inserts the address information of an important code connection part which stores the address information of each important code, a control unit, and a code combining unit which generates the application by combining the general code with the important code.
