The present invention relates to a mineralogical removal method of high concentration iodine in radioactive waste and to an apparatus thereof. The present invention discharges a small quantity of sludge comparing to an existing processing method, reduces radioactive waste quantity, and deals with high concentration or extremely high concentration of radioactive iodine efficiently. Also, the present invention can remove selectively only iodine regardless of the existence of competition anions within waste, blocks originally a possibility to volatilize radioactive iodine, and does not need a neutralization process by processing the radioactive iodine in a neutral or an alkalescent condition not an existing acid condition.
